The permanent exhibition of the museum shows us the phenomenon of Gdynia. It presents how a village was transformed into a great port city in just a few years. The exhibition utilises multimedia technology. Besides the permanent exhibition, the museum also presents various artistic, photographic and other exhibitions associated with Gdynia. The Gdynia Museum is located next to the Museum of the War Navy.
