This neo-Gothic sanctuary came into being in the early 1900’s as Our Saviour’s Evangelical Church. After World War II, it was handed over to the Catholic community as a parish and garrison church, hence the patronage of St. George, who is the guardian of soldiers. To the right of the temple you will find the luxurious Dworcowy Hotel, and to the left Sopot’s hallmark and Poland-famous promenade, “Monciak” which leads to Kuracyjny Square, and eventually to the city’s most renowned structure and its symbol – the Pier – the longest in Poland and one of the longest walking decks in Europe.
