In the second half of the 18th Century the property was bought by Jan Joachim Deptowski, who erected a small residence. Bought back by Count Sierakowski, the manor was given the Neoclassical form, preserved into modern times. The Count was an eminent resident of Pomerania, a participant in the Great Sejm, and a Senator of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. After World War II this historic building served residential functions and since 1974 it has housed the head office of the Friends of Sopot Association with a rich cultural programme on offer, including literary meetings, concerts, film viewings, etc. On its premises there is also an artistic cafe called Młody Byron (The Young Byron).
