For over 200 years, the Zwartowo property was owned by the wealthy von Jatzkow family, followed by (from the 17^{th<\/sup> Century) the Krockow family, the von Somnitz family and others. In 1853, the property was transformed, which was initiated by the splendour-loving Baron von Hammerstein. The manor was rebuilt and elevated, the interiors were decorated, a new park was created and the old trees were cleaned up. The next expansion of the manor and the restructuring of the park took place after the year 1904, when it was under the ownership of K\u00fcster (von Kunster).<\/span><\/p>\n}

After World War II, the ownership of the manor was transferred to the National Treasury. In 1948, it was converted to the plant cultivation station in \u017belazna, in 1958 to a penitentiary, planned to provide work for prisoners and serve as a vacation resort. This operation is being conducted to this day. In 1997, the vacation resort served as the basis for the creation of the Penitentiary Force Vocational Training Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vacation building (manor) and the park and recreation segments are being systematically renovated. The centre is currently home to 32 guest rooms with bathrooms, a gastronomy base (cafeteria, cafe bar) and bar rooms. Zwartowo is a good place for both vacationers seeking rest and organisers of training courses, conferences, assemblies and banquets. The venue is equipped with a 15-station computer room. It also has tennis, volleyball and basketball courts and a rental service with tourism and sports equipment. In the summer, it is possible to rent a place for a tent on the nearby field. The venue has a special summer programme, which includes concerts, campfire activities and dancing. Additional attractions are provided by chaise rides, horseback riding and bus tours.<\/span><\/p>\n

The green areas surrounding the manor are a great advantage of Zwartowo. It is the home of such rare trees as the liriodendron, Canadian hemlock, Nordmann fir or purple beech.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
