It was created in 1983, and its area amounts to over 11 ha. In order to reach Zajęcze Wzgórze, you need to take the Skarszewy Route. The reserve is located on the border of the upland, and contains a hill from which you can see Sopot and Gdańsk Bay. The tree stand of the reserve consists of oaks, pines and beeches, many of which are about 150-200 years old. The local Swedish whitebeam, ivy and European yew are under strict protection. Partial protection is also provided for lilies of the valley, woodruff, and alder buckthorn. Among the trees, many bird species may be encountered, e.g. chaffinches, tits, blackbirds, robins and woodpeckers. As the only nature reserve in Sopot, it is a good place to have a change of air and a walk in the open.
