But you may be sure to encounter some memorable landscapes along the way, rewarding all the hardships of the hike. Setting out from the Staging Area in Kashubia you head leftwards in the direction of the Pomieczyno village following a wide beaten track. You push on for about 1.3km to reach an asphalt road and an intersection further on. You cross the street (watch out for heavy traffic), turn left and immediately right again. After you traverse another stretch of about 1.5km running along an asphalt road (with a small section made of concrete panels) you find yourself on a beaten track and proceed straight ahead. At the fork in the road you opt for the right-hand side and climb a small rise in the land. At another intersection you continue straight on. On arrival at Lake Otalżyno you head rightwards (Otalżyńska Street), bypassing it and leaving behind the village of Otalżyno (the distance to the village is approx. 5.5km). There are two unattended bathing sites. Having passed Otalżyńska Street you turn left into Jeziorna Street, still passing by Lake Otalżyno. After another 2.5km, following the markings, you go past Wczasowa Street, proceeding straight ahead. You pass by a pond and take a turn left after another 800m. Then, following a 200-metre walk you turn into Hrabstwo Street and continue for another 700m to reach the crossroads, where you stride forward, remaining on the main road. On reaching Otalżyno Pomieczyńskie you turn right and go back the same way for Pomieczyno. Some 800m of beaten track will lead you to an asphalt road. Having covered the distance of another 1.5km you reach Pomieczyno’s crossroads. There, you turn right and immediately left again towards Hejtus.
