The first mentions of the church date back to the 13^th Century, when St. Stanislaus became its Patron Saint. The Rumia parish is one of the oldest in Gdańsk Pomerania. Founded by Gdańsk Duke Mściwój II, a 13^th-Century wooden church located on a stone foundation did not last to this day. A masonry Gothic church was erected in the 15^th Century in its place, the remains of which are parts of the wall and a Gothic presbytery, encircled by the tombstones from the 19^th and 20^th Centuries.
