The cloisters present a sacral exhibition, the exhibits of which were created in local workshops between the 13th and 16th Centuries. Additionally, one cloister presents the objects rescued from the St. Catherine’s Church fire on 22 May 2006.
Moving on, the Small Refectory holds the works of the Gdańsk goldsmiths (15th – 19th Centuries) with liturgical vessels and Baroque vessels used for ceremonious toasts.
The museum also has a ceramics collection, which is exhibited in the Great Refectory.
The biggest attraction and pride of the Gdańsk museum is the triptych with the Final Judgement of Hans Memling (1433-1494). Besides this, the Section of Past Art holds a collection of the Netherland paintings of, among others, Ferdinand Bol, Jan Brueghel the Younger and Jan van Goyen. Furthermore, there is the exhibition of Gdańsk paintings, which presents the works created between the 15th and 20th Centuries.
The collected art offers the possibility of bringing closer the art history of the thousand-year history of Gdańsk.
