From this time, the museum was continuously developing, until the outbreak of World War II, when most of the collections were dispersed. In 1963, a group of regional enthusiasts founded the Człuchowo Land Association, the main objective of which was the creation of a museum. The private collections served the opening of the museum chamber in one of the rooms in the post-Teutonic Knight Castles. In 1976, after many years of efforts, the regional museum was opened in the large city manor. The museum has three permanent exhibitions, including the ancient history of the Człuchowo land, and several temporary exhibitions.
