The noteworthy aspect of Palczewo is its 19th-Century historic building development. Affluent residents of the settlement have built porched houses, ornamented with wooden “lacework”. Next to them there are some surviving stately farm buildings.
In the village centre there is the only wooden church in Żuławy with a framework construction, built in 1712, covered with a shingle roof, and a tower dating back to 1786. Although inconspicuous from the outside, it conceals an elaborate Baroque interior with folk wall paintings and high altar with a scene depicting the Deposition from the Cross, characteristic of the Lutheran Church.
