It is a viewing point from which you can see the Kashubian Proglacial Stream Valley, Kępa Oksywska and Gdańsk Bay. A black tourist trail leads through the hill (Zagórska Struga Trail). On the flat top, scarcely covered with trees, there are the remains of a German anti-aircraft battery of World War II. The remains of that period include the point of fire control bunker and 5 foundations of cannons and the trench lines.
Markowca Mountain is a natural “bastion” which cuts from the West into the extensive proglacial stream valley from Reda in the direction of Gdynia. This place played a crucial role during the 1939 fighting.
