Initially, the Aeroclub gathered Polish students from the Gdańsk University of Technology who established the Gdańsk Academic Aeroclub Association in the inter-war period. An increase in the popularity of this sport prompted the association to change its name to the Gdańsk Aeroclub and accept members from outside the academic circle. Currently, the Club uses the airport in Pruszcz Gdański, located about 10km from the Gdańsk city centre. Starting off from this location allows you to see the beautiful scenery of the Tricity Agglomeration, Gdańsk Bay, the Hel Peninsula, Żuławy, the Vistula Lagoon, the densely-forested Kociewie and the “Kashubian Switzerland”.
