Regional cuisine-European Network of Regional Culinary Heritage

How best to express Pomeranian hospitality? There is only one way… through the stomach. Whoever has ever tried Pomeranian regional cuisine will certainly return here, and not just once. Slovincian plum soup, Kociewie mushroom pie, and the traditional Kashubian herring are dishes that would satisfy even the most sophisticated of tastes, being a delicious conclusion to the day packed with Pomeranian attractions. It is worth leaving some room, however, for dessert, as the Pomeranian cuisine offers some sweet delicacies. Afternoon coffee would be no good without ruchanki (apple fritters) and fefernuski (iced dumplings with honey, lard and pepper), and, for those who like vitamins, we recommend the world-renowned Kashubian strawberries. And who knows, maybe an evening shot of Goldwasser will release our energy to enjoy Pomerania’s exuberant night life and have fun until the small hours in Sopot – the entertainment capital of Poland.
