In 2010 the monumental urban arrangement, entered into the registry of monuments, was revitalised. It was done by such means as the visualisation of the three monuments of Kościerzyna in order to make it more accessible for people with vision dysfunctions – learning about them through touch. The marketplace also displays a statue of Remus, a hero of the Kashubian epic poem “The Life and Adventures of Remus”, written by Aleksander Majkowski, who was born in Kościerzyna, and with which you should familiarise yourself while eating regional delicacies served in the many restaurants located in the historical town houses surrounding the marketplace.
