It was built at the end of the 14^th Century. Rebuilt in the 19^th Century, it gained its classicistic frontage facing the river. Damaged during World War II, it was rebuilt between 1976 and 1978. Currently, it is the seat of the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians.

Right in front of the gate, on the other side of River Motława, there is Sołdek, a freighter ship.
